RSVSR How to Clear Arc Raiders Test Case Without Losing Loot

Apollo's "Test Case" tends to catch people off guard. The objective list seems harmless, then the raid starts and everything gets messy fast. You're not just grabbing random ARC Raiders Items and strolling out. You need three exact machine parts in one run cycle, and you've got to leave the map alive with them. That changes the whole mood of the quest. It stops being casual looting and turns into a focused hunting trip where every fight matters. If you rush in without a route, you'll probably waste ammo, burn meds, and lose the parts before you ever see the extract.

Know what you're actually farming

The checklist is simple in theory. First, get a Hornet Driver. Second, pick up a Fireball Burner. Third, secure a Firefly Burner. On top of that, you also need to destroy at least one Firefly. Hornets are usually the easy part. They're common, noisy, and hard to miss once you're in open areas. Fireballs are trickier because of where they like to sit. You'll often find them in buildings, industrial corners, or spots with bad sightlines. That's where players get sloppy. They chase too close, eat the blast, and suddenly the run is cooked. Fireflies are the real problem. They move around, they hit hard, and they don't always show up when you want them to. You can spend ages looking for one, then regret it the second it finds you first.

How to make the run feel less awful

The best approach is to treat the mission like a planned farm, not a free roam session. Go in with enough ammo, bring healing, and keep your loadout light enough that you can move. You'll notice pretty quickly that mobility matters more than looking fully geared. Start with the easy target if you can, so grab the Hornet part early and clear that stress off your list. After that, check enclosed areas for Fireballs, but don't force bad fights in tight rooms. Peek, back up, reset. For Fireflies, patience helps more than panic. Listen, scan the sky, and don't tunnel on the target so hard that you ignore everything else around you. A safe pocket augment is huge here. If the run goes sideways, at least the part you already found won't vanish with your body.

Why extraction is the real test

A lot of players think the hard bit is getting the drops. Honestly, the worst part comes after. Once the parts are in your bag, every sound feels louder and every route feels wrong. You're not done until you extract, and the quest won't count if those items stay on the map. That means you need to stop taking pointless fights. Avoid chasing extra loot. Avoid ego battles. If another player is nearby, sometimes the smartest move is to wait, rotate, and leave by a safer path. "Test Case" is one of those quests that teaches a lesson the hard way. Farming parts is one thing. Getting out with them is the whole game. That's also why some players prep ahead with cheap ARC Raiders gear so a failed run doesn't sting quite as much when they have to queue up and try again.
